nippon

It seem that every day come with a new possibility and a new challenge in every project that we work on. Sometimes it's funny when come to think about it. Well...this time is has something to do with japanese language. I never thought that we will have to do a video using japanese..but that was the requirement asked by our client. At first i was like "..aaa? what?". The truth is we already completed the video in BM but the client would like to present it to a conference in Japan.
Now, let think about it. Let say we want to do a voice over. OK fine..no problem..get someone who could translate the BM script that we already have...then...bring him/her to a studio to record the voice over which i think will bring the first problem where we couldn't tell if he or she reading it correctly. :)
Then..we'll bring the recorded V/O to our studio where again, I have no idea how to edit it in term of matching the V/O with visual. So..what da ya think?
Well...if there is a will, there is a way.....somehoww..hmm..

Chicken talk

in previous post...I did mention about chicken as my example in learning process. ..Guess what..Now I really have to study the chicken for my new project. Quite interesting really..Never thought that a tiny ordinary creature could be quite complicated and challenging. Of course the tricky part is to make the chicken fur believable. After several consideration, I tried my hands on "maya fur". Between the tight dateline and the passion to fulfill clients satisfaction...this is the best I could produce after several experiments. I only have a day and half to spend to find the right setting (not quite right yet) Well...looking forward to experiment more on "maya fur"

animation-a learning process

some people consider animation as an easy thing. as some client may put it.."saya ingat ketik-ketik butang computer dah jadik dah.."
but for me..animation is a learning process..not only about animation itself..but it is about anything that you want or have to animate. If you want to animate a chicken...you have to learn everything about the chicken. how it moves.....what it do when this happen..when that happen..how many step it takes b4 it shits..the pose the chicken gave during the process...and so on.

The learning somehow could be fun and this is one the reason why i love animation so much.

a past few days..i've been studying about tsunami..for a project i'm working on..just wanna show a sneek preview here..

i got a lot of video tapes about the tragedy from client. it's really an eye and mind opener. subhanallah..
